The staircase is depicted as a symbol of ascent, and the pattern of life crawling up from underground to the sky is summarized in a single painting. People who evolve and grow through life's various ups and downs may sometimes be bewildered by life's events. However, they are also part of the process of growth and become a memory and experience as time passes. Sometimes we progress automatically like an escalator, and at other times we encounter situations where we have to go step by step on our own feet. Even if the mountain looks high from below, once we reach the top, we feel a sense of fulfillment in the process of reaching it. This work is titled "From Darkness to Light" and represents such a pattern of human life.
